Stress Ball Mania           4/5/17

We created a 6 question survey and we had 156 students who participated in taking our survey. After finishing the survey we handed them a brain-shaped stress ball.

Wall of Feels   4/16/17

The Wall of Feels is about giving each student an index card with a positive word. They were given paint to decorate the card based on how they felt.

Cookie Stampede      4/7/17

Students were given a cookie to decorate with icing and sprinkles. The cookies helps you release your tension.

Vision Frames     4/18/17

Students were given blank wooden frames where they got to stamp positive words and images around. These frames are meant to remind them of their values and help them release stress by having them think of their favorite person in the picture they chose to frame. 

Treat Yo Self        4/19/17

Students were given pudding in a cup, Oreo pieces, and gummy worms to create "worms in a cup" dessert!

Peace of Mind   4/20/17

Students participated in a yoga session to relieve their stress. A Bethune Middle School teacher volunteered to teach yoga during lunch time.

On Our Way to Release Stress

Our team created six fun activities to help students have fun and relieve their stress. The activities took place during lunch outside the College Center. To plan these activities we met every Wednesday during lunch in Ms Lumer's classroom. To recruit other members we  spread the word through teachers and classmates, advertising through flyers, and morning announcements. We also used Instagram to promote GBLA and connect ideas about Health and Wellness to our community.
